Speira joins Alumobility

Grevenbroich, December 6, 2022: Speira, a global aluminium rolling and recycling company, has joined Alumobility, a global ecosystem of leading aluminium and downstream technology partners committed to advancing the adoption of aluminium with automakers. Speira will be one of three full members, joining founding aluminium producers Constellium and Novelis.

“We are enthusiastic about joining Alumobility, to drive the use of aluminium in vehicles, for a lighter, more sustainable future mobility,” commented Speira CEO Einar Glomnes. “We see this engagement as an important step for our ambitions toward low-carbon mobility.”

As the other full members, Speira will dedicate resources to support the work and projects of Alumobility. Pascal Wagner, Head of BU Automotive in Speira, is serving as a Board Member of Alumobility.

The addition of new associate member Fischer group is broadening Alumobility’s expertise with a leader in aluminium hot forming innovation, which provides new possibilities in the design of lightweight, yet strong automotive components.
