Speira completes acquisition of Real Alloy Europe

The acquisition includes three aluminium and magnesium recycling facilities in Germany as well as an aluminium recycling facility and a salt slag recycling facility in Norway. The acquisition will materially increase Speira´s ability to use recycled metal and meet the market’s demand for sustainable and circular solutions. The acquisition facilitates a substantial reduction of CO2 emissions through the replacement of prime material with recycled metal.

The acquired facilities will be integrated into Speira’s operations in Germany and Norway and form the basis of Speira’s new Business Unit “Recycling Services.” Speira will continue to serve external parties with recycling services.

The closing of the previously announced acquisition by Aurea SA from Speira of the facilities in Sainte-Menehould, France, and Swansea, United Kingdom, a divestment mandated by the European Commission, is expected to take place in early Q2 2023.
